Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Cloudimo collects through its mobile apps and this website, why we collect it, how we keep it safe, and the choices you have.

Effective date: 21 September 2026 · Last updated: 21 September 2026

In short: your records belong to you. We collect only what our apps need to work, we never sell personal data or use your records and photos for advertising, and you can export or delete your data at any time from inside the app or by emailing contact@cloudimo.app.

1. Who we are

Cloudimo (“Cloudimo”, “we”, “us”) is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Our address is 3-a550, 56-31 Gangnam-daero 37-gil, Seocho-gu, Seoul 06734, Republic of Korea. You can reach our privacy team at contact@cloudimo.app.

2. What this policy covers

This policy applies to all mobile apps published by Cloudimo on the App Store and Google Play (the “Apps”) and to the website cloudimo.app (the “Site”). Where an individual App collects data beyond what is described here, its specific practices are listed in Section 12.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information you provide

  • Account information. Email address, display name and password (stored as a salted hash), or the identifier provided by Sign in with Apple or Google if you use those to sign in.
  • Records you create. The content you enter in an App: notes, dates, metrics (for example workout sets, distances, body measurements, pet weight), tags, and photos or videos you attach. Depending on the App this may include information about family members, children, pets, school life, lessons or health and fitness activity. You decide what to record.
  • Profiles. Names, birthdays and photos you add for profiles within an App, such as a family member, a pet or a course.
  • Support communications. The content of emails you send us and any information you include.

3.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device and app information. Device model, operating system version, app version, language and time zone, and a random installation identifier used to keep sync working.
  • Usage and diagnostics. Which features are used, crash reports and performance data, collected through the platform tools described in Section 6. This data is aggregated or pseudonymous and does not include the content of your records.
  • Site logs. When you visit the Site, our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and operation of the Site.

3.3 Information from the app stores

If you buy a subscription or in-app purchase, the App Store or Google Play processes the payment and gives us a transaction identifier and subscription status so we can enable the feature. We do not receive your payment card details.

3.4 Device permissions

Apps may ask for permission to use the camera or photo library (to attach photos), notifications (for reminders), and, where an App offers it, Apple Health or Health Connect (to import activity data). Each permission is optional and can be changed in your device settings. Data from Apple Health or Health Connect is used only to show and store the records you choose to import and is never used for advertising or shared with third parties for their own purposes.

4. How we use information

  • To provide the Apps: store, sync and back up your records and photos across your devices.
  • To operate your account, authenticate you and keep your data secure.
  • To enable purchases and subscriptions you have made.
  • To respond to support requests and communicate about your account, including important service notices.
  • To understand how the Apps are used and to fix bugs and improve performance, using aggregated or pseudonymous data.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use the content of your records or photos for advertising, for profiling, or to train models for advertising purposes.

Where the law of your country requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (providing the Apps); your consent (for optional permissions such as camera, photos, notifications and health data, which you may withdraw at any time); our legitimate interests in securing and improving the Apps; and compliance with legal obligations.

6. Who we share information with

We share personal data only with service providers that process it on our behalf under contract, and only as needed to run the Apps and the Site:

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order or a valid request from a public authority; to protect the rights, safety or property of Cloudimo, our users or others; or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply.

7. Where data is stored and international transfers

Your data is stored with our cloud hosting provider, which may operate data centers outside the country where you live. Where data is transferred internationally we use safeguards recognized by applicable law, such as standard contractual clauses, and we choose providers that maintain recognized security certifications.

8. Security

Data is transmitted using TLS and stored encrypted at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel and is logged. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. No system is perfectly secure, so we also encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to keep your device software up to date.

9. How long we keep data

  • Account data and records: for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, or ask us to, your account, records, profiles and photos are removed from our active systems immediately and from backups within 30 days.
  • Diagnostic and analytics data: up to 14 months in pseudonymous form.
  • Support emails: up to 3 years after the request is resolved.
  • Transaction records: for the period required by applicable tax and commerce law (in the Republic of Korea, generally 5 years under the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce).

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise most of these yourself:

  • Export: Settings → Data → Export in any App.
  • Delete records, photos or profiles: directly inside the App.
  • Delete your account and all data: Settings → Account → Delete account, or follow the steps on our account deletion page.
  • Permissions: change camera, photo, notification and health permissions in your device settings.

For anything else, email contact@cloudimo.app. We will respond within 30 days and may ask you to verify that you own the account. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority; in the Republic of Korea this is the Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC).

11. Children

Our Apps are intended for use by adults and by young people aged 14 or older (or the minimum age required in your country, such as 13 in the United States or 16 in parts of the European Union). We do not knowingly create accounts for, or collect personal data directly from, children below that age. Some Apps let a parent or guardian record information about their own child, such as school events or family photos; the parent controls that content and can delete it at any time. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without parental consent, contact us and we will delete it.

12. App-specific notices

Each Cloudimo App is covered by this policy. Where an App collects data beyond what is described above, or uses an additional service, it is listed here and in the App’s store listing.

13. Website cookies

The Site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It may set strictly necessary cookies provided by our hosting platform for security, and it loads web fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the font is requested.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our Apps change or as the law requires. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify you in the App or by email before it takes effect.
